Duration: 6 days, 5 nights.

This beautiful experience takes place in the municipality of Ciénaga, Palmor town around the Tucurinca river in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, surrounded by mountains, rivers, waterfalls, lagoons, endemic birds, minerals and precious stones, the maximum ascent is found at 4.250 masl. In it we will find indigenous peoples such as Palestine of the Kogui Indigenous Ethnicity, ancestral places and sacred lagoons.


Departure from the place where you are staying, to the village of Palmor, municipality of Ciénaga, Magdalena in a 4×4 Jeep truck, where we will tour the town, coffee farm, indigenous people of Palestine, visit the coffee shop, taste a traditional meal, and finally we will rest at the Campo Alegre farm at approximately 1.400 meters above sea level where we will give talks with the mother.

We will start the day’s adventure very early, around 6:00 a.m. We will be up to enjoy a delicious breakfast, to start an ascending route of 1.400 approx. Towards the Mobulaje camp, during this journey there will be two stops where you will contemplate the waterfalls, beauty of the fauna and flora of the place, where you will be able to appreciate the Palma de Cera. We will continue ascending to the camp where we will stay traditional huts. Finding ourselves at an approximate height of 2.800 meters above sea level. In this place we will have dinner and do ancestral relaxation activities for a good night’s rest.

We start the day with a rich breakfast around 6:00 a.m. to then continue the ascent passing through large valleys, lagoons and endemic birds, if we are lucky we will be able to observe the endangered hummingbird (Barbudito). We will continue walking towards the moor, most of the way will be in the savannah and stone cities until we reach the Sunwui lagoon, a sacred place for the Kogui indigenous community at about 3.600 meters above sea level. Approximately; We will take a tour of the lagoon beach. And hopefully we will see birds and animals of the native territory.


To end the day, we will do ancestral relaxation activities and talk with the guide about the history of the sacred site lagoon.

We will start the tour very early, getting up at 3:00 a.m. to start the tour at 4:00 a.m. until we reach the terrace of Pico Aguja, to contemplate the first rays of the sun and medicinal plants.


We will continue ascending towards the mountain where we will find the mineral wealth of stones and the game with the nature and fauna of the area. We will rest when we arrive at Pico Aguja where we will be able to observe the three highest peaks in Colombia (Colón, Bolívar, Simmonds), also an area of the Banana Zone and a 360 ° ocean view. Here we will be at an approximate height of 4.250 meters above sea level.


We will descend 2,800 meters to the Mobulaje Camp where we will rest.

We will start the descent down the same path that we had climbed down until we reached the “Campo Alegre” farm. To which we will be arriving around 2:00 p.m. in which we will have lunch and rest to take a tour in the area to watch birds. After returning we will socialize our experiences of the tour with some guides and leaders of the Koguis Indigenous communities and during this we will do a handicraft sample.

At 7:00 am. We will get up to get ready, have breakfast and start the descent to Caserío Betel and from there to Ciénaga, an urban area.
