RESERVATION

 

Duration: 5 days, 4 nights.

This beautiful experience takes place in the municipality of Ciénaga, in which we will visit its four coffee-growing towns in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, surrounded by mountains, rivers, waterfalls and fauna. Until we reach the Old City “El Congo”, a little explored archaeological and natural protected area of the Tayrona culture.

TOUR DETAILS

From the municipality of Ciénaga, Magdalena will begin our adventure in the territory of the Koguis. We will go up approximately 4 hours by 4×4 jeep car until we reach a colonial town called “Bodega Betel” here we rest and have dinner. Then we will go up walking for 1 hour passing between mountains, pastures and coffee plantations until we reach Palestina, a Kogui indigenous people. There we will make payment and have an interaction with the mamo and we will visit the surroundings of the town. Then we will have a delicious dinner and rest in a traditional hut. Night in hammock (in the hut).

We will have breakfast at 7:00 a.m. to have the strength to walk around 6 to 7 approximately between forests and coffee plantations and with a view of the high mountains of the Sierra Nevada. On the way the guide will tell us stories and we will also pass by a fruit farm, where we will taste some. We will continue until we reach the settler town of San Javier. Here we have lunch and leave the equipment at the hotel and then we will go to a coffee and cane farm where he will teach us the whole process and we will also have the opportunity to taste. We return to the hotel for dinner and rest.

We will leave at 6.30 am. To another settler town San Pedro where we have breakfast and after 8:00 a.m. We will start the walk to the archaeological park for about 7 hours. At approximately 3:00 p.m. We will arrive at this magical place that has not yet been explored and where it will be a relaxing afternoon within this natural reserve. Where we will spend the night in a cabin in this Archaeological site.

After breakfast at 8:30 am, we will walk with us to the park where we will see many varieties of birds and also howler monkeys. Then we will walk about 4 hours in a reserve where we will possibly see tracks of jaguars and pumas. We have lunch, and in the afternoon we will have rest. Again dinner and night in a cabin at the Archaeological site.

This day, after breakfast at 9:00 a.m., we will leave from the archaeological park to the lower part of the municipality of Ciénaga with a duration of approximately 3 hours, or another destination, in 4×4 jeep vehicles.
